Simple Woman's Daybook ~ Week of April 6, 2009

For Today:

Outside my window: it's only 34 degrees and they are calling for SNOW! Spring... come out, come out, wherever you are!!

I am thinking: that I only have 3 days of work... I can do this!

From the learning rooms: that sometimes the kindest and most loving thing you can do is let your animal "go".

I am thankful for: Fourteen and a half years with our beautiful cats, Meg and Syd (although Syd went to "kitty heaven" after almost 12 years)

From the kitchen: my brown bag lunch is sitting on the counter waiting for me, and the kettle is boiled ready to make me a cup of tea to go.

I am wearing: Okay Denise... are ya ready.... Smile... brown cords, pink blouse, cream cardigan... got me on some "work" clothes this morning!

I am reading: my Bible, Karen Kingsbury's Every Now and Then and my devotionals.

I am hoping: that the next 3 days go by easily and quickly!

I am creating: still working on that baby blanket - I'm a couple rows short of halfway.

I am hearing: nothing but the hum of the refrigerator. I miss those annoying "meows" now.

Around the house: the tiny bits of clutter will have to wait

One of my favorite things: NOT working!

A few plans for the rest of the week: filling in at my old office for 3 days, Book Club Tuesday night, making a lemon meringue pie for Good Friday Easter dinner with Doug's family, attend church activities for Holy Week, celebrate my Risen Lord on Easter!

Here is a picture thought to share with you:

Weary Meg, before we head
to the Vet's on Friday.
(You can see she was ready to go!)
We miss her terribly.
